With a reduction in aircraft and the number of lifers not able to get hired through the SSP they will hold up the process. This is just a big slap in the face. Basically Delta and Endeavor want to sell this FLOW while they fly their CRJ around to job fairs to kids that have been flying 172's and get a massive rise to see a jet.
This is far from a sell as mgnt indicates that it would be about 5 years for a new hire to move to Delta. So 3 year upgrades? Currently we are downgrading CAPT's. With guys not making it through the SSP, they are staying in the left seat. Keeping your nose clean at this place for 5 years is like trying to survive walking through Afghanistan with an American flag unarmed.

I haven't heard that. That is a very high washout rate. Did these guys get their jobs back at Endeavor, stay at Delta or worse...?

DL will dangle this carrot to people, then sell off 9E and cancel the flow. It's been done before. They're just trying to stop the bleeding until all the 717's come online and they can reduce the fleet to 81 900's. And besides, with all these current CA's failing the SSP it will be many many years before these guys upgrade. It costs DL no money, why not try it....no matter how ridiculous it will actually turn out to be.

Wow. Another kick in the nuts for the Endeavor guys. This deal will never never never work. Two years as a CA?? How long is the upgrade time?? I would imagine The current Endeavor pilots are gonna flat out hate and despise all newhires under this plan as well as everything Delta.
I believe DAL will eventually Comair endeavor and not one single endeavor newhire will ever flow. Otherwise, why only offer it to the newhires and tack on a two year CA commitment. It could be years and years before a newhire meets the reqs and by that time this industry will be very different from what we know today!
NERD...Never REally Delta

It is NOT a guaranteed flow. They can cancel it at anytime, and they have done it recently. It isnt a guaranteed binding contract that you can take into court and say, "look i held up my end of the agreement, so you need to hold up yours." They reserve the right to cancel it.
