Endeavor...

Flew Endeavor for the first time from BGR to DTW yesterday and was very impressed. The FAs and pilots were friendly and couldn't have been nicer not only to my fellow crew members but all the pax as well. Very nice!
(Wish I could say the same for Delta international....but I can't. Very disappointed in them and frankly, hope I don't have to fly them again anytime soon.)

We try our best to keep the mounting frustrations out of view of passengers. For the truth on crew feelings, visit one of the recurrent ground classes when ALPA/senior management show up.

Doesnt even have to be at recurrent. Although those are the best because it is a group verbal beat down.

As a sign of our frustration, we normally don't treat the passengers that well in order to get our message across. However, you are crew, we will bend over backwards for you as you are one of us. We treat you as we want to be treated on your planes.

Even after everything we got shoved down our throat by Delta with a gun to our head we still have had pretty good performance numbers. Through the merger of 3 pilot groups we heard how we all need to be one, "undivided". Then the mother ship rewards us with the ETD, it will never end until it's over!

Just curious. How does the EtD make us "divided"?

Speak for yourself. "We" do not do what you described. You are part of the very vocal minority. Whether you believe it or not our professionalism throughout this nightmare is one of the attributes we have going for us. Passengers are clueless and/or do not care about our situation. Our position is not unique in the business world. I sure hope you're kidding. Taking your frustration out on passengers is both immature and just plain ignorant.

By the way, I have yet to fly with a guy who goes out of his way to mis-treat a passenger just to stick it to the man.

Here is a funny thought, the captain may have also been turned down by DAL at his interview. Not really funny to him but I would expect the same result, that is being professional and helpful to you and customers. The real irony is DAL is turning down the very people that that should be going to DAL. Of course you will hear the usual lame excuse of protecting the Delta brand. What is the brand anyway but a conglomeration of DAL, Western, NWA and others that our now one company. Out of all the pilots at DAL I wonder how many would also be offered jobs at DAL if they had to go through all the exact same procedures they are requiring Endeavor and other pilots to do now. Now wait for the Delta peps to come and say how everything they do is the right way as they can never do any wrong. Listening to them sometimes makes me feel I'm watching an old episode of Star Trek when a Borg is speaking.

What will grow and slowly merge together as we shrink? The unsuccessful SSPs and successful ETDs. When that's all that's left, some of it's not going to be pretty.

The professionalism of the pilots here is amazing. Delta beats us down and forces us to live on food stamps. And yet our pilots keep going and going. I wish delta would wake up and give a flow. Ppl would beat down the doors to come here.
