Endeavor @ JFK - Thurs Mar 26th

Did anybody here go to the 9E party outside of JFK yesterday?
Curious to know the numbers...
How many in attendance?
How many interviews conducted?
How many hired on the spot?
What class dates they are assigning right now?
How many Envoy folks jumped ship?
Etc...

Riverside 03-27-2015 11:00 AM

Why would anyone waste their time going to that?

Ya you say that... But years ago people said the same about GoJet, TSA, and Mesa

I'm not talking about years ago. I'm talking about now.

So people that want to stay in jfk can stay in jfk, they can also make a lot more money. Faster upgrade...etc I hear it was a good turnout

My recruiter buddy there said a little south of 30 showed up. That's all I could get out of him. Their April class has a little over 30, likely aiming to place in May as that class is in double digits, but they're placing already for June and July.

Years ago? They still say that! ;)

Major waste of time. My friend attended the event and they did not interview anyone. Meet and greet along with a presentation about how wonderful endeavor is. They wanted you to fly to MSP to interview.
They were advertising on site interviews. Unreal.

That's kind of hard to believe?? Hold and event to convince you to go to another event?

A meet and greet is an interview invite. Maybe fedex is the example there. You get along with the group, let's interview you.

The endeavor interview isn't rocket science. Some tech (think FMS dies as a worst case for math), and some TMAAT that should be at the tip of the tomgue being a current 121 operator.

There was an advertisement on APC stating on site interviews.

Its on endeavor facebook page that is governed by Endeavor.

pa28dakota 03-30-2015 09:28 AM

It would look pretty bad if they advertised on site interviews...then didn't do any on site...only giving invites to go to MSP.

starcheckers 03-30-2015 04:11 PM

My buddy went and he said "it was an interview to interview". He also said there were about 6 people that showed up! It sounds like a MAJOR waste of time if they claim they were offering "On-Site interviews" and are in need of pilots so badly. Also, he indicated that they were hiring into the CRJ-200 not the 900 as advertised! Sounds like the ole bait and switch if you ask me.

CAPTAINPCL 03-30-2015 05:16 PM

If this is true, I think they should be called out in this ****!!!

ShyGuy 03-30-2015 10:50 PM

I get airlineapps updates for random stuff still.

This was one. The button does say interviews...

Hmmmm....that sounds strange. The company wants to split classes between both now. This is not just a rumor. So if you want NYC flight away, bid the 900. DTW or MSP, bid the 200.

Flying Ninja 03-31-2015 05:54 AM

The button says "On-Site Interviews for Qualified Pilot Candidates". Maybe they didn't see any "qualified" candidates at the meet up? ;-)

Forgive my error, *right away*.

The union just signed a letter of agreement that will allow new hires to start in the 900, due to lack of sim time in the 200.

According to Shy's picture, the company kept it's promise. On site interviews at a site in MSP for those qualified ;)

The info I got from one of our recruiters was that it was only one of the two interviews they were doing there...the "phone" interview portion only was what I was told. I told him flat out...that was a shady and low down thing to do since they advertised "onsite" interviews. This is bad publicity anyway you slice it. Going forward hopefully they can fix this crap.

Bartok 03-31-2015 01:36 PM

Lol

9E is interviewing and hiring any pilot that breathes and people are complaining about this?

Sorry to interrupt, Go on with the b!tch session.

I think your sarcasm meter is deferred today. :D. Technically it doesn't say on site in NYC. ;)
