If we time out and can't finish or do a pairing, and we were not originally scheduled to exceed duty/FDP limits, do we still get paid for said flying?

Unless you are a reserve, yes. Line holder's trips are pay protected to the original value or what's actually flown depending on the greater value. I would definitely get a PDF of the contract to store on your phone/tablet, or at the very least bookmark http://pclmec.alpa.org/ to reference

Is it just me, or has there been very little communication from management regarding the IT outage...? I thought last time they were more proactive about that. Perhaps my memory does not serve me that well?

I think this one may be less of a CF than the last one. Still doesn't look great though.

Ed sent out a communication about an hour ago (to all mainline employees at least) and made a point to note that the August meltdown cancelled over 2000 flights whereas this one has only cancelled about 250. My guess is he and others don't see this as such a horrible event.

That said, one more of these (if not already) and I think heads need to roll.

Yeah, they can't establish a pattern of extra "stuff" when their decisions lead to these types of events. That would be no bueno, right? (sarcasm)
