Really, were going to lose airframes. Why are we getting new ones to park
our old ones? After ATL is staffed then NY 200's replaced by 2-class then
those 200's come to MSP and DTW. Try to keep up.

I replied to the wrong part of his post because I was in a hurry. It's 200 pilots, not 200 crews.

As to the aircraft, it doesn't matter where they come from. There won't be 20 XJT aircraft, so some have to come from NY/DTW/MSP now. By the end of the year, we will have 12 more -200s than we do now. Minus one or two people here on APC, there has been no talk of -200 fleet shrinkage, only additions. Shuffling, yes. Shrinkage? No.

Did you forget that Pinnacle / Endeavor had a 900 ATL base at one point? Incase you forgot, take a look where those 900 with the "PQ" tail operated by Express Jet came from. Those have been around since the Northwest days.

No no, I don't mean lose airframes as an airline. I mean lose frames from one base to another in conjunction with those bases losing market block hours. Speculation is fun as to where you think the shells will go after NYC reduced 200s after summer. In terms of keeping up, I'm certain and it's my job to know these things before you do.

Some of those 200's from NYC are scheduled to go to ATL, a few are scheduled to go to MSP and DTW, but those are at the expense of further reducing the 900's in MSP and DTW and sending more of those to NYC. Basically it's going to further exacerbate the extreme seniority needed to hold MSP and DTW 900. It will likely be over 12 years just to hold captain (and if you aren't in the position already, there is no way to get there) and probably approaching 20 to hold a line as captain. I know there are a few guys looking at bidding back to 200 captain to get off reserve, but can't because there still aren't any openings in MSP or DTW for that either.... if they backfill on 17-01, they will likely be voluntary downgrades of 900 captains that don't like the looks of several years on reserve on the 900 and don't want to go to New York.
