They use the rsv capts a ton. You will never be at 75hrs.
So to me not comparable at all.
That's been my experience as well. A total beat down every month by crew scheduling. Money was good, but they work you hard for 20 days a month

I've got two sets of FO epaulettes if two folks wanna PM me for one of them....or one person who needs two sets badly. Both in good condition. I can drop them in your vfile or leave them in mine...or something.

What the heck is a weekend? Aren't those made for people with REAL jobs?

Reserve that for folks who are on leave.

The 1600#s are folks who left and have come back to the company.

It's basically a street captain if you consider they will be on reserve for a long while.

The bigger issue and Avroman and many have discussed it at length is we have serious stagnation at the top of the list. The type of upgrade opportunities that exist here will be reserve and possibly a line working weekends. Anyone who upgrades at 9E will not see weekends off or a good QOL as a line holder. It just won't happen. Retention bonuses are prohibiting it. Flow is the only thing that would fix this and that's not happening anytime soon...

At least without serious growth.

Not sure where you came up with those withholding numbers, unless you are considering everything that is deducted from monthly pay, including ALPA, 401k, etc.

Comparable.

Yes. That is why I said "Net income".

Doesn't mean you can plan for that. The originally poster asking about this was comparing pay of a good QOL FO and that of a reservist.

I don't know anyone who would plan their finances by assuming they will credit 100 hours on RSV.

Just because you'd rather have 11 days off and drive to work doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Huh? I'd rather what? I commute BOS-LGA.

You can't argue the facts that those guys upgrading on 17-01 - if nothing changes - will not see a great QOL as a CA. There is too much stagnation. I'm lucky. I bid 45 out of 135 in LGA 900. I've also got 10 years.

I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from coming to Endeavor. It's a great place to work, but we have stagnation issues. There is little movement in the top 500.

Fair enough, but hard to estimate what others pay in taxes and such. Mine happens to be about 21-22.5% in deductions monthly. Others probably pay more, some may pay even less. Too many variables, IMHO. But the spreadsheet info under your post gives a good example on the pay differences for different scenarios.

True.

As a 900 CA on 10 year pay, I have witholdings of 39.6%.

And the spreadsheet is great, you're right.
