I had no issues with ACARS in 686BR or 980EV, there were a few minor differences but once you figured it out it was not an issue at all.

If mgt reads this stuff, they will think twice about dual qualifying us.

Someone must have put it into a different mode and I have no idea how to get it back. It was like a brand new version of something I had never seen before. There was literally no place to put weight and balance...it seemed like it was in a mode where the w&b was sent to us and we just put in a runway to use.

You have to put it in manual mode to enter the W&B info. As per the memo.

Last I heard it was off the table because it would cost too much, as well as eat up a lot of extra sim time.

I'd really be curious to know about your expeirence. MX out to look at it for awhile awhile and tried to figure out how to operate it. They had no idea. It was MELd out anyways. Would hardly even pull up an ATIS and certainly not a METAR. Could not find this mysterious "manual" mode after several cumulative hours of cruise time(edit, and delay time on the ground) to putz with it. Or really anything else the memo described.

PS before anyone gets ticked, I'm not really complaining, because I think this will all get ironed out. Just be prepared if you fly an ex XJT bird.
