Well, I happen to like spreadsheets and was bored.

(I promise I am fun on overnights)

Delta somehow plans on operating 488,822 sections in the month of June. This is up from 163,496 in May. CM9 sections increase by 302% and CPJ sections increase by 293%.

For those curious...
ATL departures
CPJ: 2074 from 847 (inc. 244%)
CM9: 652 from 221 (inc. 295%)

DTW
CPJ: 4022 from 1308 (inc. 307%)
CM9: 2169 from 689 (inc. 314%)

LGA
CPJ: 1461 from 475 (inc. 307%)
CM9: 5618 from 1902 (inc. 295%)

JFK
CPJ: 1801 from 615 (inc. 292%)
CM9: 4759 from 1537 (inc. 309%)

MSP
CPJ: 2299 from 755 (inc. 304%)
CM9: 2127 from 703 (inc. 302%)

I am going to go make a drink now. And light some charts on fire.

I have friends at expressjet that are jumping ship to come here. Those percentages only make sense with more airplanes. Please not another merger.

Well for those hopeful for a merger, I am going to rain on your parade once again. If these so called spreadsheets are true and we are scheduled to fly nearly 300% more then a month prior to that. Their merger committee better have some mad negotiating skills to pull a merger out of their aSss in less then 30 days.
Now a takeover of their planes is more likely. Just saying.
P.S. look at their United operation. A straight transfer of aircraft to commute air.

I am thinking there has to be something wrong with the spreadsheets. Delta's whole operation is going to increase 300% nearly, including mainline aircraft operations. That isn't a normal month over month uptick for flying just to account for summer schedules.... is it?

That spreadsheet shows a similar increase in departures at EV also

Default Good Rumor or Not??

Just got a good one to share that sounds so messed up it could actually happen.. Some EV Mx guys working a plane at the 9E hangar in DTW... they told us our ATL base is only temporary.. they are taking all our 900s.. we are getting all their 200s (til they go away).. and when they do go away... so does 9E... sounded crazy to me at first, but its just out there enough to have some viability.

Ha, that almost tops the rumor I heard last week that Delta is buying the Crj-1000.

I wouldn't listen to a single rumor from anyone at ExpressJet. They aren't the center of the universe in ATL for regional flying anymore and they're becoming irrational trying to fabricate scenarios where they still can be
