I believe it's targeted by the end of this year. It's been crickets lately though on negotiation updates from the union.
Originally they were aiming for the end of the summer so the last retention payment was to be September but don't think that is going to happen now.

What does being on reserve, but in the city you live in (I'm in Atlanta so reserve in Atlanta) look like? You sit at home waiting for a call to fly, but since it's your home base all you have to do is drive to the airport, and no commuting? So what makes it better is you don't have to commute to another city and then maybe or maybe not get any flights? I'm a newbie to the airline info so I know nothing about how reserve works, etc. So if someone could explain it in a little detail it would be appreciated.

Yes, being based in the city you live in if you are within 2 hours you can just sit at home and wait. But you have to be awarded your base, and that is based on seniority. Commuting on reserve at first will mean probably sacrificing some of your days off to get to the base the day before. That means your 11 days off becomes more like 6ish days off a month. And they don't pay for hotels in base so you need to get a "crash pad" to live in on the days you commute. And all the flying is on standby and ATL-NYC sucks so expect it to be a rough commute. And yes, reserve means you may not fly at all but you will be paid at least 75 hours per month.

That's because no one knows yet. The base doesn't open until 1 June. First schedules just came out. Other than the sparse info posted on the previous 5 pages, there isn't much to say nor is it worth it to try to predict just yet.

That's if you get assigned home RSV. You may likely get assigned airport RSV, meaning you have to be in the airport all day, waiting to be called.

Speaking of ATL... for those who fly from there now, is there a preference on where to be dropped off at, North or South terminal? Since we won't have our badges for a while, I know parking won't be an option just yet. TIA!

International F concourse. Easy KCM and the train ride is shorter to C and D.

KCM is much closer to the North terminal if that's where you need to be dropped off.

EV to 9E 200 rumor
Word around DTW is we are not slated to get as many 200s from EV as originally planned... we were supposed to get 14 for calendar 2017... we have taken 5 so far and on summer hiatus... 9 more are scheduled to come in the late summer/fall/early winter.. hearing now that is up for debate.. not sure why... I know they budgeted $50k/shell to bring them up to speed mx wise but we blew through the budget for the entire 14 in the first 3.. also we were told to possibly expect an announcement of more to come in 2018... that may be subject to change also... to be continued
