Any update on the timetable of him heading to big D/who would be the replacement?

Do you visit the HQ? Seen him there earlier this year, think he comes and talks to some RGS classes

I hope Delta isn't planning on a merger. But either way, things do not look good for Express Jet
Considering they're a single operating certificate and owned as one entity then they would have to. Not sure how you can merge only half a company. Mergers aren't grocery shopping - you don't get to pick and choose what you want. If you buy it, you get it all. And if by some gods Grace they somehow get expressjet to merge half their company and ALPA is good with it and the merger happens then I'll eat my words, but I'd be happy to bet a years salary there will never be a 9E EV merger.

Companies are split up and sold off in parts all the time...

This has been confirmed by Endeavor management. They said the airplanes weren't "horrible" but they were over budget and Delta was billing ExpressJet for that extra work (that they should have been doing themselves all along) They also said we are still on track to get all 14 planned this year, and that was likely the end of 200's coming here. They wouldn't say anything more about if other planes would arrive other than we'd likely stay an all CRJ type. It wouldn't be likely we'd get E-170's because there are other companies that are already operating those (Republic/SkyWest) that would be able to operate them quicker with less up front costs, where we'd likely get any CRJ flying that comes available.
They also said that they had zero expectations of a merger with ExpressJet, and that they wanted nothing to do with one. They said nothing is guaranteed in this industry but consider it extremely unlikely.

Just ask a scheduler. They will tell you how short we really are. Hey at least on rsv I get well north of 100hrs a month credit. :-)

You're most probably a captain... they are indeed short on well qualified captains if they are upgrading FO's that have 200hrs of company time lol... RSV in NYC as an FO you barely got assigned any flying. Maybe 20-30hrs a month maybe... Granted RSV in NYC doesn't last too long so it's really not that bad. The only thing is that coming off of IOE you want to fly the airplane as much as possible to solidify your recent learning. It's kinda hard to do that while on RSV flying 20hrs a month :/
