While we're on that note, any idea when the last SSP pilot will move to Delta. Will there be a big gap between when the last SSP pilot leaves and the DGI starts?
Late winter/Spring 2018 I believe, then a handful of ETD folks. I think the first DGI pilots will be eligible spring 2018.

Quite the opposite. I had read a while back that the first DGI interview may be delayed due to the last SSP departure. According to an agreement no DGI pilot can interview and leave for Delta prior to the last CJO holder from SSP. Supposedly there will be zero gap.

I think that is the hope. XJT is a toxic pilot group at the moment as far as legacy carries are concerned. The two groups failed to combine their contract after years of trying then just quit trying. I'm sure no one wants to give them another shot. It's too bad, just like every airline a lot of good guys are there.

If mainline can't maintain staffing levels at the regionals to maintain XJT's lift they may have to think about "buying" the pilot group. I don't see this happening though.

Under pilot all partial requests, click submit or view requests, drop, then there's a button to split the trip and select what legs you want to drop

Are there actually "green days?" I didn't see any the last time I looked.

Dang guys. Both of you need to think about what that means. I don't hope for anyone to lose their job and have to start over. Those guys have a huge question mark staring at them and despite what a lot of people have said on here, they can't just walk out and start at a major or LCC. You're talking about people. Growth for our airline is great but let's not cheerlead the demise of other people's livelihoods. I've gone through a bankruptcy with the threat of losing my job with a lot less to lose than the majority of that pilot group that has 8+ years seniority. It still sucked. People have families to take care of.

Step back and look at the big picture. It's not just a bunch of parts, it's people.

You mean like many mainline guys do about all regional pilots?

I'm a regional pilot and I'd be totally fine with every regional going out of business.

All partial drops must be approved by a scheduler. Which means it will be looked at way down the road. Not good for the rare green numbers we see these days. Much easier for a reserve to drop that day because of the instant approval process.
