Call me crazy, but throwing money at a problem is nice, but not going to solve the issue. It just puts a bandaid on it. Reducing upgrade time and giving pilots better bases with one on the east coast, one in the Midwest and one on the west coast that are safe and affordable. that provide a QOL will fix a lot. Also provide a career path out of the regionals and not a 30% chance at delta will take this place new new heights management never could dream of.

Well I am based at home sooo my point being...... I have friends that choose Skywest/compass/PSA all because we offer crummy bases according to them..... And if it's them we are going after I think that common sense would be to Listen to what people want..... Skywest is getting 50-60 a month no 80k bonus so how do they do it??? They offer lots of options for bases to attract people from all over with good work rules and QOL benifits!!

I'm completely shocked. Here I am thinking the best way to solve this regional pilot problem is by pay. Money pays the bills, so that's priority uno in my book. Besides ready reserve and reserve in general...our contract isn't that bad...except the $$$$$$$$$$$

I didn't say no money, just that other improvements are helpful in bringing people in. Granted, the thing most seemed to focus on (at least talking to my class) was pay rates so it goes a long way in attracting people.

Me too, nothing in the packaged outlined yesterday would benefit me anyway besides the small vacation bump and commuter parking. Bring the JCBA back, increase the SSP numbers with a better path to Delta for new hires, up the bonus and offer commuter hotels. If they want long term success they know what they have to do, why are we negotiating for bread crumbs?

Everyone wins with this deal if New Hires come and staff endeavor. 5-9 year FO you get to upgrade which will bump your pay by 100% on average. Senior CA with lots of days off you can now get 150% for all flying over 85 hrs with max credit bid or if you pick up extra flying. New hires will get some bonus money and they will help keep Endeavor growing. Delta and the company are working on a successor to the SSP so all pilots on property will have chance at Delta interview and so far 60% of the pilots who have interviewed have been offered a job. Keep in mind that this is a minor modification to current book. Things will change again but right now this is a good deal with more reward than cost to the pilot group. I realize everyone wants more money but you have to look at big picture. If you are a 8 year FO making 38 dollars an hour jumping to 80 dollars an hour is a big bump in pay. This happens when you upgrade which happens in months instead of years if they can staff their growth plan.
