Who really owns this? Who can I talk to, and who has the authority to change it. I don't believe this is a "Delta thing", because I had several DL new hires in my crash pad in NY, and they have a LOT more flexibility in their reserve.

I'm not going to call and yell, I am more than willing to help solve the problem. So, if the owner just happens to read this...please PM me, and let's talk.

If you know who the owner is, and don't want to name names here, please PM me.

This is crazy, that I want to fly and I cant......
The Company owns the reserve threshold, if you listened to the TA calls the union mentioned that they've tried to get control of it and the company said no.

It's irritating for all of us but there's really no incentive for the Company to set a lower level of reserve threshold.

Let's say it's 15 now and they lowered it to 10, what would that cause? 5 more guys would drop and they'd be red at 10. So maybe then it'd be red at 10 and we might think that's more reasonable, but it'd still be red so the net result is the same. It'd be red and we'd be mad and the Company lost 5 reserves.

Crew planning and Crew scheduling don't get gold stars in their jobs for making our lives more comfortable, they get gold stars for making sure flights are covered.

I'd love to see the union get some control (at least some fences around the parameters) but I think that's unlikely as it will cost a lot of negotiating capital.

All that said, if this is something that really bakes your cookies, make sure your status rep knows how you feel, they're the ones that direct the negotiating committee and the negotiating committee are the ones who will eventually try to negotiate it.

If they actually put those "open segments" in Flica I think they would be amazed at how quickly some of them get picked up. And yet, every time we see the same email "please reach out to crew scheduling to help cover trips."

My days off are my days off. If you want me to haul my butt to the airport to fly IROP relief you better believe I'm not doing it for under 200%.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute and emergency on my part.

Why do they keep giving new hires LGA 900 FO? Even with 30-40 TDYs no one gets used... yet the grid is rarely green.

I’ve been looking but can’t find it anywhere...is there any mention of hooking a trip to recurrent?

Background....I have RGT next month. The mock (however much weight you want to put on it) shows a four day trip ending one day with recurrent starting the next. Is there any kind of sanity check in PBS or should i let it happen and then raise the BS flag with somebody?

You can work up to 6 days in a row, right? My sims were 3 days with a 2-day trip tacked on the end.

Back in my Yout I worked 180 days in a row. But if they expect me to finish a 4 day in Detroit at 9pm then start 3 days of recurrent at 9 the next morning in Minneapolis I better at least get a kiss when they’re done with me

Reach-arounds are optional; pretty sure I read that in the Ben Dover addendum of the contract.

Now 7 days in a row... not sure that is legal? I mean, it is per the FAA, but I thought the company limits us to 6 days scheduled in a row?

That's what I was thinking but couldn't find it. I'll wait and see what comes out of the final

Makes sense. Mine was 3+2, so it was legal. If the actual is 4+3, I’d call CS and ask about the 6-day rule. Let us know what they say, too.

Good luck!
