I find it much easier to hold V2+10 to 1000 and then fly the profile. I encourage my FO’s (which usually haven’t seen raw data TO ever to do it) they almost always remark at how much easier it is the fly the plane that way. They learn more in the few flights with me about actually flying the plane then in all of OE. I only encourage them to give it a shot because I am very comfortable hand flying the plane and keep a close eye on them. Also I stress fly smooth and if they can’t fly smooth them autopilot and FD come on (rarely have I had to do that). If rev 4 says no raw data I will do what they say but for now I am going to enjoy my raw data.
Just a side note I was introduced to raw data on initial FO IOE by a wise check airman. I thank him for showing me the way.
Children of the magenta line is an worth wild YouTube search and talk. Automation is great and keeps you out of trouble but when it doesn’t work or fails at an important time I think it’s wise to actually know how to hand fly. The only way to keep those skills sharp is to actually practice when everything is working.

Ok rant over. Happy holidays. Let’s have a great 2018.
Hear, hear. Also, how hard would it be to put into revision umphteen, “gear up, climb 164, Nav/Heading mode?” Seems simple to me. But I’m just a line pilot with no voice or sway in the matter.

Stylish hair cut (It wouldn't have even entered my mind it was a fauxhawk if you hadn't said something) and if he had long sleeves on you wouldn't even know about the tat. Heck, I wish I had his hair, I'd wear it just like that. If I'd seen this pic apart from your comment I wouldn't have thought a thing other than they'll make him cover that tat up when flying. And I'm an 'old' person saying this. He looks fine.

Also he's not necessarily a pilot. Don't they have a new type of indoc where the first few days they have all types of employees (FA's, dispatches, etc.) together?

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking “what’s the big deal”. How is he supposed to wear his hair? And I’m sure he’ll have his tattoos covered on the line, or whoever the captain is will let him know to cover them up if he doesn’t.

Well, everyone has their taste I suppose. A one-armsleeve-fauxhawksic first officer. Why only have one sleeve anyway?

He does have 'CREW' on his badge and is holding a set of wings for whatever that's worth.

Do you not see the word CREW on his badge and him holding a set of FO wings? If it flys like a duck...

Here's the blurb with the pic. So they are all pilots:

Endeavor Air Please join us in congratulating our last class of ground school graduates for 2017 - 31 amazing aviators have earned their wings! Endeavor Air hired 625 pilots throughout the year, with another 70+ ready to kick off 2018. It's an excellent time to #EarnMoreNow and say #IFlyEDV!

I don't see anything wrong besides the tattoo, which can obviously be covered up. Otherwise he wouldn't have been hired. His hair looks fine. Has has a nice button-down shirt and better pants than the management person standing 2 feet away. And are you seriously making fun of his lanyard? I hope you are this vocal to everyone who has their favorite sports team advertised around their neck. Somehow I doubt it.

Pretty weak to pick out someone and attack them anonymously on the internet. I hope we can move on from this quickly.
