I'm an FO in DTW, and I'm looking to get in touch with a union rep about something that happened with scheduling last week. I didn't really find anything in the contract pertaining to what happened, but I was assigned a trip for Wednesday of last week on Tuesday. I got to the airport 45 min prior and I'm steeping out the shuttle when I get a call from scheduling saying that the trip has been pulled from my schedule (I'm guessing it was given to someone else, hnestly don't know) I ask the guy was there at least a possibility of getting released early since I've left my hotel early and I'm already at the airport. He said no and I was back on home reserve for the rest of the P1 reserve period. It was the last day so of course with that I couldn't catch an earlier flight home and being that I left my hotel already the only thing I could do was sit in the crew room at that point. I'm just wondering is there a minimum time where they can't pull a trip from your schedule? Seems like I got screwed on the deal but maybe it's me.

The rule is not single day of duty unless you allow it. If you have a rsv day then 3 training days then a day of rsv, that's not a single day of duty, it's 5. If you have a rsv day with a day off on each side then you would have had to allow the single day of duty option in pbs

Thank you. That makes sense. I appreciate it.

I know a guy with a couple of crashpads. affordable, transportation, crashpad car some days, you have your own bed, nice places and they are affordable, similar cost to the hotel crashpads. PM me.

Another prime example why this TA did not represent the entire pilot group. I'll enjoy my eleven days off...p1 ready reserve while others enjoy 15-16 days off and pick up 150% open time.
Let's look at DOH for Junior line holders vs reserve CA's. Talk about messed up. Thanks ALPA, you continue to disappoint me you worthless turds.

I jumped to Endeavor from another regional. It worked great for me and I'm glad I jumped. Reserve was short, pay is great, pilot group overall is enjoyable to work with, looks better for the future. Most of the pilots I see complaining on this board are long term FO's and newer CA's who have had a rough career with Block award and Bankruptcy. The landscape here looks much brighter than they can see because of prior performance. Jaded comes to mind. The long term reserve for CA's and 8 year FO's are a thing of the past future looks bright here... and we are the highest paid regional pilot group at the moment.

Stop worrying about DOH that ship has already made the round trip around the world 10 times and is back in port. You are the seniority you are due to Bloch award. That's just the way that one went. Continuously referring to your DOH as if one day it will snap back is silly and I am sure causes you undue stress. If you are on reserve and a CA above you has a line then they are senior too you. Doesn't matter what the DOH was and ALPA nor anyone else can fix it. Happy Holidays everyone.
