Delta doesn’t have to buy Compass to get those planes to Endeavor. Delta already owns the planes, they can just wait for the CPA to expire and move the planes or they can find a reason in the contract to end the CPA early. Similar situation, Delta didn’t have to buy Expressjet in order to move all the Delta owned planes to Endeavor.

I used a qc2 with the ufly mike for about 10 years. During that time I only had one LCP give me a hard time about it. That was early 2012 during the dark years. I know it’s in the FOM. And technically we should comply. But it’s really a non issue if you carry spare batteries. The headset gives you plenty of warning when the battery is about to die. And it takes less than 15 seconds to change it
