The most junior EDV captain in MSP has been here since 2000...

We can take on a merger...just give everyone their ALPA seniority back...****ing joke !

The merger wouldn't be date of hire. Mergers are complex, don't think about it.

I know that; but in a merger, they don’t ever just use date of hire for where you’ll fall in seniority, it’s a complex algorithm that would put their most senior captain, probably a 2007 hire around guys hired in the mid 1980s here. In terms of seniority, compass being a “junior” airline wouldn’t behoove as at all for merger.

Also don’t forget compass had a DTW base at one time so very senior people that are barely holding reserve in Minneapolis and Detroit would probably end up getting booted to New York

I just figure the planes are coming either way. I was attempting to say that I personally don't care if it's 175s, CRJs or something else. I don't care if the engines are above or below the wings. I think some of the Compass folks feel we're after 175s specifically. With that said, only by virtue of me trolling APC, their pilot group seems to be a bunch of pretty positive people. The other DC carriers seem to be a bit more negative. And, I don't care to punish another pilot group because their management is bad. Just trying to stay positive. I dig 9E. I just think we'd be best served with merging groups rather than doing another ExpressJet deal. Just my humble 2 cents. Good mojo and all that.

The last merger presented the opportunity for Delta to bankrupt us. I don't want to go through that again.

I highly doubt TSH will give up any pilots to a Delta sale anyway, so the point is moot.

As a potential new hire, this frightens me. The only base I'm interested in @ EDV is DTW, and it sounds like a moving target that's only going to get further and further away.

We're not merging. We wouldn't be full steam hiring for growth if we were merging
BL said he doesn't wanna merge us. Junior FO in DTW hired this year. Junior Captain in DTW has about 2.5 years seniority.
