The largest reason we are paid what we are, are the 75 FO's per month that left here to get in line for the flow at PSA to American in 2013/14.

Word is thanks to Gumm Delta is done hiring for the rest of this year... He's brought the regional staffing model to mainline and left them over 600 fat on pilots. (this coming from talking to a couple mainline pilots less than thrilled with Gumm's arrival during our lovely fire break in LGA)

Just for clarification, I believe classes are resuming this month. There are more classes planned this year regardless.

This post is spot on, changes were made because the operation just about fell apart due to attrition. F/Os didn't even see a hint of light at the end of the tunnel at the time. The only benefits (SSP) at the time only applied to CAs and upgrade was nonexistent.

I bet now we will see another mild exodus to LCC and other majors since delta has stopped hiring.

By the way, chaps, congratulations on beating delta on every single recorded performance and customer service metric last month.

True, however they left because of rumors and went to PSA, Envoy, SKW, ???. Most were paranoid that the sky was falling. I hope they are happy with their paychecks.

If they joined one of the wholly owned in 2013/2014 they will probably be flowing to AA in about 2 years from now at current projections.

Good God you've said some ignorant stuff but are you trolling?

The company told everyone to leave if they could. They gave us free interview coaching and resume prep. And there was no money, captains were being furloughed and given ca wages to sit in the right seat while FOs were asked why were they still there, and the company still wasnt done. When Air Wisconsin told delta to FOAD and Delta couldn't get anyone to take the 200s they started writing 20m checks to us to fix the place, which is the only reason you are here.

The sky was falling, the company doesnt even defend pre 2015, and the two guy orchestrating the 2014 mess were moved out or fired. Even endeavor HR finally disavowed the ETD program Their complete strategic vision failed at every level. If Guum hadn't been waving his hands and planning for the turn around this would have been his third airline shut down.

As far as the guys that left dying to be back? 99% elected to not return, and our classes weren't full until the giant pay raise. They clearly dont regret leaving and if they do theyll be at American (some are) before you go to Delta.

Seriously, why do you do this stuff? If you're this stupid and uneducated, how can anyone trust anything you say on here?

You’re correct in thats how both retention 1 and 2 came about, however moving retention into rates and the other benefits associated with LOA 91 had a large part to do with her strategy.
