So they say, as long as it benefits them individually

I don't have total numbers, but that's very much true since the SSP started and continuing with the DGI.

Pretty pathetic numbers for asa then, as its been near two decades since they took in Delta guys hu?

I think you mean well, but your optimism really isnt backed up by anything factual.

I already said I don't have total numbers, so just looking at current hiring numbers. You can try to spin it all you want.

I honestly don't know if you mean well with it, but when it comes down to it your pessimism isn't really based on anything factual. That fact that you spun what I said like you did when I was clear I did not have total numbers and was only talking about pilot movement since SSP start makes me wonder though.

You can take it how you want. The only guarantee is getting the interview, they treat you just like any other applicant once you're there, but they also don't hold anything against you for having it. You have to meet the same standards as everyone else. There are a lot of pilots out there who can't get an interview in the first place, you have to decide yourself what it is worth to you. While it's possible they may someday change their interview format, I do not think you will see a different interview for DGI vs OTS. You also will not see a flow, that they had too many problems with flow pilots was made quite clear.

Well i was simply using the facts you offered, or excuse me, your best guess/ lay of the land to show you what you're saying isnt even consistent. I doubted you realized it, but it's your reoccurring theme. You think great things are coming, forever, I get it. I simply think good things are coming, and most of the great present under the tree have been opened.

I assume you're used to people nodding and smiling when you pontificate. Somewhere you've concluded optimistic people agree with you and pessimists don't. While we have pessimists here I'm not one of them. There's a sliding scale between unrealistic bloviating and pessimism. I'm trying to be realistic, in the middle of that scale, and I think that realism has some foundation. Your credibility is somewhat lowered every time you are wrong. Are you going to paint every person that sees that as a negative person? Is that easier than simply accepting some pilots aren't buying what you're selling anymore?

Just a hint. Optimistic people are optimistic even if everyone around them isnt. They don't see realists or pessimist as a hurdle or the enemy, they just believe in something different. There in lies the problem. This is about you seeing some vision of the way puzzle pieces will all fit together and you think we should listen. That way is madness. Everyone reading this, you wanna get your planning for the future, fool proof? I got the best method and I didn't read it from a self help book.

Buy a shake it up "magic" eight ball. Ask your questions about the future into it. Trust it completely, do whatever the magic in that stupid eight ball reveals. When you finally ask a question and you get magic advise you won't follow, that is when you're sure of something. When you can't take the eight balls crap and you do what you want because it feels right or seems right- that's when you're sure. That's as good a decision as you can make. You still might be wrong, but you should be able to live with it.

Bloviate - talk at length, especially in an inflated or empty way.

I thought I was generally a well educated guy... I learned a new word! Thanks Upsidedown!

Now to fit it into conversation.

As you were.

Dont learn too many big words, or you'll score lowest on words with friends.

You actually directly twisted my words and stated they were something else. I pointed that out to you, and you are doubling down on that now.

It doesn't affect my life if good things come to Endeavor, but I hear good things about Endeavor, which I thought would be of interest.

When have I been wrong? Please, inform me specifically of each of these times that being wrong has lowered my credibility.

You seem to be of the mistaken impression that I am a current Endeavor pilot or otherwise have skin in what happens to Endeavor. I am simply a former 9E pilot who wishes the best for the current ones and tries to keep up with what is happening.

I'm trying to offer you an internal perspective. You can choose to say it's a false narrative or whatever you want. I can tell you the panel treats every pilot the same though regardless of whether you are OTS or DGI. The view is that the interview is so hard to get that the advantage of the DGI is getting the interview in the first place, the rest is on you.

Just curious how many Endeavor pilots get picked up by Delta with the guaranteed interview? Do most get hired with Delta would you say?

DGI is running somewhere slightly better than 50% getting hired, with no real expectation that it's ever going to do significantly better than that.
