Mooney’s Facebook page says he died on an overnight.

But doesn’t say how.

DV was hands down one of the best people of this company. I was genuinely in awe when I learned of his passing. He was hands down the guy you wanted for training. Super smart and a overall amazing dude. RIP

I don't think he was on an trip overnight, but rather in the hotel in MSP for instructor duties. This is just awful news.

I’ve gotten some info on his passing. Obviously it would be utterly tasteless for me to publish that info here, but what I will say is that it appears to be sudden and natural. No foul play nor trauma.
