Yea I used to do the 25% discount with Sprint which helped a lot until they started with all their new individual plans which ended up being a little cheaper. I definitely agree with the phone call part, if you're somewhere where there's a lot of people (just about any hub) you will have trouble using data or making a phone call, or if you're in the middle of nowhere like Cedar Rapids.

We actually switched from Sprint to T Mobile. No corporate discount but you don't need one with their rates. I've gotten excellent service and speeds in all of our markets from NYC to GFK. And you can use phone, data, and txt in CA just like in the US. I even pull in 4G from Telus so no more "dark" overnights in Montreal. And anytime I'm at a hotel with crappy wifi, or anywhere really, I just turn on the hotspot and boom, fast hi-speed internet. Even worked at the Marco in LGA! Just my .02. Check em out!

I have T-Mobile as well. I get LTE pretty much everywhere except gate level in Detroit. I get it in the crew room basement but not anywhere else in the airport.. Go figure.
I hardly ever use airport/hotel wifi because they usually stink and T-mobile speeds are so much better (and unlimited).
Oh yeah, and their included international features are awesome too. Went to Greece for 2 weeks over the summer and had free 3G everywhere. Not fantastic, but enough to use google maps and find places to eat, etc.
