After recurrent this week it was said classes for current cjos will start in April. Also on top of that they expect to hire an additional 190 pilots this year. Of course that's all subject to change. But they do realize that the trend is going up.

Ahh...Never say never. There’s definitely a lot going on in the next 2-5 years. The E170/5-E2 will make it’s debut, the DAL PWA will restart negotiations and of course scope and other points need to be hashed out. Another issue might be flow-back for DAL pilots. I don’t think the 170/5-E1’s are in our future, but if DAL is really impressed with the A220’s, then they might make a push to get the E170/5-E2 on property.

Other driving factors currently are costs and DAL need to continue their reduction. This could mean good things for EDV, since we’re an at cost operator and all monies stay in-house. Still, I tend to believe that Turbo-Props are in our future as well.

So I don’t really want to post it but a friend sent a document that showed aircraft that are coming up for renewal in the next 3 years and a lot of 9s were on it and the option for renewal was not to be renewed. Has anyone else saw this and could put some clarity to it. Probably 40 9s on the list and not just she clapped out ones either.

I would not look into that. The same document has almost all of SkyWest's and all of Republic's fleet as "No" on the option to renew column as well. I wish I knew the technical part of what exactly that column means but I would not read into it at all.

DL ML guy here....don't know what happened to your junior guys (zero time lines, 30 hour "affected pilot status", etc) and don't want to assume anything so just want to clarify....this isn't "recalling" pilots that were already on property, this is all new blood off the street hires?

No one was furloughed. These are all new hires off the street although I don’t think any class dates have been set at this point. According to the last realignment bid there were 10 MSP 200 FO spots available to new hires.
