It's not about the bonuses. They'd have to pay enough in salary for people here to want to stay. I just don't think there is enough money for that.
Hope everybody is enjoying their 3%+ pay cut (so far) this year...if only we had a Cost of Living Adjustment in our contract so when inflation goes up more than normal (because it always goes up when government idiots just keep printing money) that we got a kick-up to make our wages real for the economic reality.

retention efforts are a lost cause and waste of resources. There may be a few people retainable at the margins but the losses are so far beyond sustainable it doesn’t matter.
Money is money and QOL is also important but how will they combat the lost seniority at a career destination such as an LCC. Seniority can be priceless especially in difficult times and that will be a tough sell. Unless they can make a regional good enough to be a career destination then there are few things they can do to make it worth it.

I think it's more about tying a bonus package together with the contractual relief they need to increase training capacity, rather than direct large salary increases. It won't stop people from leaving to career destinations, nothing can stop that, other than making mainline so attractive, causing people to want to wait for only Delta.
