If they’re going to pay us like mainline, I think endeavor will just cease to exist. Staple our seniority list to the bottom of deltas and be done with it. I tend to think that’s more likely than us getting seniority numbers but still being endeavor.

Then again, if skywest and republic can keep staffing but we can’t, they could just decide to get rid of us, cut a good amount of regional flying, and keep them around to do the rest. Who knows - it’s a crazy time to be a regional airline pilot.

You forget, there's more that just pilot labor costs that go up to fly the jets at Delta. FA, mechanic, dispatch, crew scheduling, everything is presumably more expensive at Delta than it is at Endeavor.

Sure, but these planes aren't going to fly themselves if we all leave. FAs, mechanics, dispatches, and schedulers aren't all bailing to go elsewhere right now.

If they cut the regional flying who going to pick up the slack. The only way Delta could pickup the flying is to bring the entire company in house (staple).

I was suggesting that if regional flying becomes unprofitable due to higher costs, delta might just choose to cut down on regional flying, with fewer flights a day on bigger planes. I don’t know anything about that side of the business, but I could see it happening in theory. The current regional model is evidently unsustainable.

Delta doesn’t have the planes or pilots to backfill that lost lift. At least not within the timescale that it will likely require

Well, sorta. What everyone keeps forgetting is you just up the price a little and demand goes down. Instead of flying 3x a day with an rj, you do one in the am, one in the pm, and take a few empty seats for a while until you get more lift.

Get as much as you can get guys, but keep in mind there that 3rd person at the negotiating table and thats the economics and their invisible hands.

.
So that scenario replaces regional departures with mainline on a 3:2 ratio. Delta has the capacity for 600 extra departures daily to replace Endeavour?

If the primary response is throttling demand ... that's gonna be a big shift.

Again... Theyre just gonna raise prices either way. If they raise prices *points to chart* demand goes down. Sooooo at some point you dont need the lift. Im not saying any of you are wrong, just saying theyres an economic reality at some point that 2x a day with at 150 seats scoops most people up.

3rd man at the table is the economics.
