No because we're getting iPads in 2 weeks - I mean 2 months.
..or was it 2 millennia?
As far as productive responses, no. You can get second hand jepp binders on cheap. I have 3 2" binders and an additional 1/2" trip binder for organization. I got one of them for free just from asking around.

I start a P2 ready reserve period tomorrow. I was thinking about commuting in the morning of, and arriving at 12pm. Of course scheduling escalated it to ready reserve which is fine with me, but it seems a little confusing. This is what the schedule looks like...
DTY DTW DTW 1000 1000 DHD
RRE DTW DTW 1145 1145 DHD
RRP DTW DTW 1230 1830 DHD
The question is what time do I need to be at the airport? It looks like I should be contactable at 10am and be at the airport at 1230. I'm usually P1 reserve and it just has the one start time of 6:15 or whatever the start time may be.

But the good news is, you don't have to be at the airport until 1230.
Just make sure to call scheduling to have them check you in, because an online check in wont work after 1000.

It is confusing how they do that, the DTY is just there to start your duty day, and the RRE is in there to give you the extra hour over guarantee.

@ Jamis81 that's what I thought, and @ tom14cat14 I didn't think about it like that. I'm not sure if the new 45 mins counts towards ready reserve or not. Seems like it wouldn't. I bit the bullet and called, the guy had made a mistake with putting it in crewtrac anyway.

Well, one day in on the earlier report times, and it looks like things went quite well according to the performance metrics. Double digits above goal. I think it likely saved our butts yesterday. Thoughts?

That's what I thought too my first time on RRE.. I Called and spoke with scheduling and was told that they cannot not call you before 1230, so officially you don't have to be available until 1230. I agree with 11:45 being the 45 minute "prep time," but according the one crew scheduling supervisor said that; officially scheduling cannot show you on call at at the airport until 1230, because they can only have you on call for 6 hours during RRE
