Well if you insist on being a tool let me put it in elementary terms for you..... If we arnt limited to one sim type aka CRJ. We can find more sim time on the ERJ, thus releaving pressure off the CRJ side. As far as bombardier Canada is dumbing tons of money into them to keep them afloat....all over the news c-series is a bust. If they go under it would or could make it harder to get parts and keep our planes running. Wow I guess that was really hard to understand.....

You would be a lot easier to understand if you learned the English language, you really don't know the difference between dump and dumb? And then you call me a tool? Unreal. Your ideas are totally ridiculous too - they make no sense whatsoever.
1.) Canada is dumping a bunch of money into Bombardier so Endeavor might get Embraers? So the assumption is the CRJ will have to go away eventually and they are setting up for that now? That seems highly unlikely.
2.) If Endeavor gets Embraers we will need less CRJ sim time? What? Why? We will still need the same amount of sim time unless they get rid of the CRJs.
You do know there is a regional airline in bankruptcy that flies Embear jets for Delta right? Is that elementary enough for you?

Ok so long term crj200's going away.
Replaced by large RJ's or e170's or did I lose you?
Bombardier losing $ so Delta wants to hedge their bets.
Delta decides to fly more Emb instead of crj's
Sim and sim space in Msp.

I've often thought that it makes sense to start trading 200's for 900's to counter the hiring crisis at the regional level....except scope makes it impossible, they are maxed out on 76 seaters. I cannot believe any major contract signed by mainline pilots is going to give this away. Maybe they will eventually allow a 1 for 1 trade on the 50 seaters, but it is going to take an absolutely sacrilegious amount of money from delta to make it happen in their next contract, which hasn't looked like they are likely to do yet.

No, we're not going to do that. Compass already has an E170 sim in Eagan at PanAm. There is no open sim bays here at PanAm. If Delta buys anymore Sims, they will be going to ATL only.

So my question would be, why invest a ton of money to start up and get approved a program now. When we arnt getting any planes yet? I think there is more here then what's being said......second thought is this could free up the sim time that they are having trouble getting for the CRJ. On top of bombardier on the verge of going out of business.... Some one else wanna chime in??
Remember the ACA DoJets? When it became obvious that they were going to go away once ACA/Indepence got its first Airbus, Delta paid Skyway to train DoJet pilots AND Delta paid Comair to type instructors and train mechanics...someone was going to have to operate those 32 planes Delta was going to be stuck with. In the end JO and Freedom took over the leases, flew E145's and then got out of paying the leases when Delta went into bankruptcy two months later.
Example number 2. When Delta decided to cut Freedom's flying due to poor performance they instructed and paid Comair to hire and train 300 pilots in four months to take over the flying with CRJ's. What happened? Freedom(Mesa)/JO took Delta to court, sued, got a stay on the flying being immediately removed etc etc and over 90 days Comair furloughed 300 brand new FO's (and down graded new Capts, me, me).
So Delta has a history of preparing for the worst so no major interruption in feed. What the end result will be here...9E flying 170/175's or Delta just blowing a lot of cash remains to be seen.
Just remember, those that don't understand history are bound to repeat it...
Just wait and see.

If you stand by what you say, send me your real name so I can guarantee you don't get hired by UAL. Or if anyone else knows his real name - used to be at 9E he's now at CP- send it to me. No place for losers like this at my company.
