I would agree with you if the mainlines never changed scope. But they did and we are still living in an antiquated system that was developed 30/40 years ago and was never ment to be like this. Mainline pilots have allowed the system to change to there betterment and regional pilots detriment. We have laws in this country to try to maintain equality between race and gender or groups of people, but somehow its still ok to discriminate against regional pilots.

to unfairly treat a person or "GROUP OF PEOPLE" differently from other people or groups

Well for the 55% that were turned down by the SSP that are still here, I'd guess they'd say at least the flow didn't cost several hundred dollars and 2 days off (minimum) like the SSP to get the same result. Plus the flow pulled people off ot the (basically) top of the seniority list, the SSP has been more successful at pulling FO's out of the mid/bottom of the list. That doesn't make for good career progression.
