Either the rates are a minimum of $25.55/ hr more across the board or it's a no from me.

High and Avro are 100% correct! Any effort to roll the bonus into pay rates MUST be predicated on a guarantee year, i.e. $23000/12/75 which equals $25.56/hour. The increase in every position at every longevity must be at least that or it's a big fat NO for me! No pay cuts for anybody on property, period!

What was your hire dates? Trying to gauge what classes will be hitting a 1000 hours soon. Thank you

For the ones that took the -200 out of class (a lot less reserve) that would be in the ballpark of April-June 2015.

They can't waive FAR time. If for whatever reason you were short time when you started class they could waive company required time but not the FAR. They don't want to deal with the possibility of you not having the time. Not sure why I answered. You already know this.

The bonus is great but rates are better for everyone. We won't accept a pay cut.
hey bonehead I've been in constant contact with a member of the negotiating committee during these prelim sessions they have had with the company that are set to continue in february after they finish the costing. He told me straight up if you don't credit more than 85 hours a month you will take a "PAY CUT"...so go ahead and keep drinking the KOOL AID that we are going to come out on top with this one...and if you want this to be different then I suggest you start blowing up the phones of your rep and the guys on the negotiating committee and let them know that we don't want a pay cut.. unless you plan on crediting 85 hours each and every fricking month then yes you will be taking a hit...a majority of us because of different situations( for me its very garbage trips on the 200 in NYC) will take a pay cut.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. The union has been pretty clear that we would see a pay cut if crediting 75 hours. At least it was clear in recurrent many months ago.

Exactly. Thanks for pointing that out. Retired reservist as well so no pension to rely on. I want the bonus rolled in because this is my only $$ source and I like to pick up open time and block over 85 when possible. I stand to earn much more than just flying the minimum and waiting every 4 months for only 65-70% of that bonus check. For me and my family, it's a more constant source of money to rely upon.

....and for the record I would not support anything less than the $25.56/hr increase.

FWIW I spoke with the interim MEC chair for a little bit about the unions position on pay rates. What he told me was that the unions proposal to the company was a raise which would equate to even a 75 hour line breaking eveb monetarily (is that a word?). This is of course up to rebuttal from the company but they're stance is that in this environment no pilot should take a pay cut....

No pay cuts for anyone on property, period. Make it known to your union reps!
