It can be too hot in the airport if your hustling though. The M&H jacket looks nice, and fits pretty well, but I doubt it will last 20 years like my old jacket, the stitching sucks.

I do agree about the uniform store pushing the hats.
I guess I was misinformed. Shouldn't have been so lazy and researched it myself as $275 is a lot better.

Something like this?

Solo Classic Triple Compartment Briefcase For 16 Laptops Black by Office Depot & OfficeMax

With the hint of EFBs coming within the year, I don't want to spend more than that. Could you carry the Jepp binders and your headset in a tote or cooler sized bag?

I've seen guys do it, but check the FOM. It might be an issue during OE. My partner had a tote where everything fit perfectly inside of it but the issue was the tote fitting perfectly into the flight case holder in the cockpit like a traditional flight case.

Well, the company needs to get used to change. Cuz once the flight kits are gone, guys will be using those types of bags to carry EFBs and headsets on a regular basis.

Ones like this seem to be popular: Amazon.com: 5.11 Tactical Side Trip Briefcase, Black, 1 Size: Sports & Outdoors

The company will do what the company will do. I would check the attitude that the company should do this or that at the door and just accept that it is what it is. Life will be much easier that way.

As for flight kits, I have an OLD standard flight kit that was given to me by a friend at Delta when I told him I was looking for a used one. Check Ebay for used chart binders and chart bags. I have a total of $23 invested in 4 binders and a chart bag, all are old but do the job still. Be careful of new cheap chart kits, a couple guys from my class got some and they're falling apart already, not even on line yet.

I don't have the dimensions, but my bag exactly fits in the holder on the plane and couldn't be more than an inch narrower and still fit all the Jepps, CFM and my head sets.

I don't know what I'll do when we get EFB's, but till then I'll just go with the flow and use what works.

Any good gyms close to the training center or hotels?

I didn't mean to come across with a bad attitude, sorry if it seemed that way. Since I don't work for Endeavor, I have no say in what they allow, obviously. What I was trying to articulate is that it seems a bit harsh if the company insists on new hires buying the old flight kits, when something more modern and dual-purpose will do just fine. I am not sure if the bag I listed is big enough to carry everything you guys do now, it is a bit smaller than the standard flight kit. (PN flight kit is 18X14X8, the one I linked is 16.5X12.5X5.5) But moving forward, it will work just fine for EFBs and headsets, as attested to by other pilots who use them without paper Jepps.

Delta has a real nice gym in the same building, basically...they'll tell you about it day 1.

Any Mesa defectors to Endeavor?
Has it been a good decision? I'm interested in the experience of going from the same airplane but with different company procedures, etc.

PM me if you want to not be public with your move....
