Why do you think I work there? You've been on property what two weeks? Do you need a history lesson? Why are people so insecure about Detroit? I'm sure there are great places to live around the Detroit area, I just don't think as a base it would pull as many recruits as a ATL, SLC or LAX base.

I'm not very impressed with the comedic level of the candidates the recruiting team is bringing in. Please tell me that you have something more, sir.

I think there has to be a logical reason to open a crew base besides attracting
new hires. Possibly many a/c overnighting there or mx base? I don't think
9e has many of either out west nor do I think SkyWest has many in the east.
Possibly Delta has it planned that way?? I do believe more major population centers are east thus more possible new hires homes???

Personally those sound like awful bases to me.

If Endeavor had one, I would have answered accordingly. Just telling you of a place that I know with one.

Can anyone tell me how easy/difficult it is to get 1 or 2 specific days off while in training. Say for example you had a wedding to go to, or an interview with a major airline?

Depends on the situations, how much notice can you give? Is this for your wedding, or a friend of a friends? Is this your first born or a 3rd cousins?

During ground training? Nope. During FTD and sim training? With enough notice it's possible. During OE? Probably. Buildup line post OE? Likely. Once you hit the line? Possible.

Big thing is not during the classroom training footprint and give as much notice as possible.
