I've been here about the same amount of time and have been promised since day one of some sort of program to Delta, yet I've seen nothing. I'm worried that this is indicative of some greater issue and that worries me. This doesn't seem like it should be a hard thing to figure out.
have their own pilots contract to contend with along with shuttle bankruptcy. Who promised you a program to Delta? The only thing we
have is an interview. Its up to YOU to get hired!

I'm in the same boat as you, but I'll try to help you put this into perspective.
The agreement the MEC shot down would have had us do the SSP one day interview, but require us to be captains for at least two years before we would be eligible. Even with this growth, the first 2015 hire would have been eligible for that interview in 2019 at the earliest. So really, that gives ALPA until 2019 to come up with something better for us, or just take Delta's original offer. Also, according to ALPA at recurrent a couple months ago, that offer is still on the table.
Yes, it sucks that we do not have a clear path to Delta. However there is still plenty of time for them to negotiate something for us before that vote really screws us. A lot is going to change by 2019. Take a deep breath and wait until May when your next big fat check comes with the extra $1000 on it

That's all very true, thank you for your input. I guess my problem is that I'm not sure if I trust this company or our union enough to sit around and wait. Before I retired from the military, there were a lot of the promises and the wishful thinking going around but probably 90% of it were either lies or unfulfilled promises. I would love to be a captain here but I really don't know if I can work for people I don't trust. Hope this doesn't sound too cynical I'm just very confused right now.

msprj2, if you don't have something helpful to say, why don't you just shut the **** up? If I wanted some little condescending bull**** reply, I would've asked my 2 year old what he thought. I'm sure they have a "company man" forum you can join to jerk each other off in, but that's not the one I'm looking for.

Lol. Yeah go look at envoy. I hear they're looking for warm bodies. Plus I heard they're also much more trustworthy. Just look at how far Eagle/Envoy has come. Look man, you're paid to fly a plane. That's all. If you don't think they're holding up their side of the bargain, get involved in the union and try get it changed, or leave.

Thanks for the advice, I might do that. Are they expected to be truthful on that team? I only ask because I was going to do a bit of that in the military once but they asked me to lie, so it didn't happen. And thanks for offering advice instead of being an assclown like some others above.
