In response to your post, I absolutely agree that training is paramount, and that's what the statistics show. I would argue that a pilot with 250 hours who graduated from an AABI accredited school is a better pilot than someone with 1500 hours who went through a part 61 course at their home field and has now been teaching that course or flying for fun to build hours. Why? because I think it's not about hours, it's about quality of training.

To answer someone else's post, I wasn't a part 141 instructor, and I got my ATP before all of these changes came about.
Talk about drinking the koolaid. What college spoon feld you propaganda about how great you are. You do understand once most of those guys get in the industry by observation they realize that their skills are the same as anyone else here. BTW I attended a 141 school.

I would pretty much rather discuss anything than this completely dead end argument haha. Can't we just all agree that there are great pilots from each and crap pilots from each?

Next topic...

Probably. If your DOH was after May 1st then it's prorated for the time you were on property during this 4 month period. Your next one (and hopefully last if we get a new contract) will be in January and will be the full amount.

Only if you are doing your withholding wrong.

If you are doing it right, you will owe the IRS $100 at the end of the year. Or they will owe you $100. But when I see folks getting excited about getting $10K back at tax time, I just SMH.

Yes, minimize risk using the site. Don't visit it on a wifi you don't trust (or wifi in general) as that would be the most exposed. But, that doesn't necessarily mean visiting the site is safe with a wired connection either.

Oh, and the pncl.com domain expires at the end of this month so I hope they are aware.

Don't worry, our email telling us of the near daily irops in NYC is probably secure with all the archaic password rules.

Have to love that the bonus cannot be used for the 401k contributions while ALPA can get a cut of it!

I agree. And LOL to the poster who thinks it's still only 6666.66.

Now for 900 CAs, go pick up the 3 NFYs in MSP open time. 6 hours of pay with positive space to and from home as well as hotel if needed
