Delta has given the DGI guys an advantage of extra points over the SSP. How much that helps, I don't know, but the union said it would be a significant improvement. I expected the DGI to be below 50%, so I was pleasantly surprised so far, but we'll see as more groups go through.

The ALPA rep I talked to said that its 1 point but that they don't know how significant it is because Delta wouldn't divulge what kind of scale that it was based off of. He thought that it was insignificant.

A free point is a free point, whatever its significance. Why do they get that again?

SSP pilots that try get it the free point not those pilots that fall under DGI. Why is a great question?

As I understood it Delta offered the SSP guys an extra point instead of any more flow discussion and we said no. I could be mistaken but that was my understanding from the union career progression call a couple months back.

I am pretty confident that you are mistaken. Copied from Part 2 of union update.

Delta has indicated that they are more interested in a "defined opportunity" than a "defined pathway" and on that front they would extend an additional opportunity to the former SSP Pilots (as well as SSP-eligible Pilots who did not participate) by granting them an additional point during the DGI interview process. Delta has indicated that this additional point will make a material difference in the success of the candidate. We don't know if an additional point will make a difference since we are not privy to the scoring program associated with the interview, and Delta has not been willing to provide further details. In addition to the "point" Delta has also committed to allowing pilots previously eligible for the SSP to redo only the portion of the interview they were previously unsuccessful in. While we can appreciate that this move may result in Endeavor pilots having greater interview success, we expressed to Delta the program still does not meet our goal of guaranteed and contractual Career Progression. To be clear, while we do not object to measures that will enhance our pilots' success, we are committed to working diligently towards a model that serves our entire pilot group and the long term interests of both parties.

That isn't particularly coherent

The first couple interview groups did pretty well. It tanked shortly after that for quite some time until word got around that it wasn't just a formality like what was sold to the pilot group during the bankruptcy road shows. Why those first couple weeks went well and the rest didn't, I have no idea.

I hear that word a lot, but I never heard it described as a formality in road shows. That said, I would fully believe that TW would have described it as such if he thought it suited his purposes.

Hoping you guys can pass the word, but if the jumpseats open and you guys and gals are commuting to or from work and there’s a bunch of nonrevs listed please be so kind and take it, especially during the holidays...I know this is all situational (fatigue, OAL jumpseaters, length of commute, etc.) but I’ve seen so many Endeavor pilots of late (last 6 months) taking seats in the back when the jumpseats are wide open and causing nonrevs to not get on...again I know this is situational

Thank you
