Considering most of ours are still south of 30K cycles, and they’re good to at least 40K cycles, a while. Plus then there’s 100 left in IGM we can drag out.

I think there’s a lot less now. They broke many apart but those could have been Comair birds too. Maybe I should go pay a visit.

Based on the OpSpec, there's still 87 in the long term storage MX program. Maybe not 100, but close.

Holy moly. You’re right. Some of those are newer than others we fly. All the AY tails are the newest ones there.

When I ferried one to the desert in April ‘18, the guy there told me that was about the 88th one there, and I know a couple more went after that, crazy 8’s comes to mind.

My biggest gripe about reserve is the bucketing system. Leaving you to rot in the crashpad for a week, then using you for a turn on your last day to screw over your commute because you have a day left is ridiculous.
Yea it would be nice to get a "pass last day" option so that you could elect to be skipped unless you were the only reserve left. Pass that turn to someone with 2 days left that's been unused, it's not like they are commuting home that day, and would likely still be able to cover a later overnight leg.

Probably 90% of us don’t live in base. You couldn’t pay me enough to live in NYC, Detroit, or Minnesota. Maybe Atlanta, but let’s face it, our bases suck as far as places to live. So yeah. You’re in the minority.

Our bases do suck, but spending hundreds of hours of your year commuting sucks so much harder.

Wow you’re a double D, N.N. I like Detroit, the state of Minnesota and when I lived in Atlanta, I loved it there too. If you can’t find nice stuff about these places, you’re the problem. I will agree that NYC sucks.
