Endeavor Information

Can anyone who is currently working at Endeavor help with a few questions? Feel free to add any other information you feel might help someone to decide upon Endeavor or another airline.

General feeling of pilots, are they treated well?
What is the average line like for a line holder?
Days on per month?
Average line - 2 day, 1 day, 3 day, 4 day???

Days off per month?
Legs per day?
Average Duty hour per day?
What is the junior base?
Any information on a flow through for new hires?
Any new bases on the horizon?
Growth plans?
Are pilots getting paid the additional money promised by management?
When is a new contract coming?
etc.

Thank you for your time

I cant speak for everyone but I think things have improved ten fold over Pinnacle and the bankruptcy era.
What is the average line like for a line holder?
It really depends on aircraft and seniority.
Days on per month? Average days off for junior lineholder is 11-13 days off
Average line - 2 day, 1 day, 3 day, 4 day??? Mainly 4 day trips with some 1-3 day trips.

Days off per month? See above
Legs per day? depends on aircraft. Usually 3-5.
Average Duty hour per day? Varies greatly
What is the junior base? NYC bases have gone historically junior.
Any information on a flow through for new hires? No flow through but a guaranteed interview may be on the horizon
Any new bases on the horizon? Not currently
Growth plans? We are told we will have pretty much as many 200's return from the desert as we can staff.
Are pilots getting paid the additional money promised by management? Yes we have.
When is a new contract coming? Probably not before 2020
etc.

Thank you for your time

If there is anything you need more specific let me know.

The general feeling of all Regional pilots is something like this:

Attachment 2178

Gee and yet you and others claim every chance you get that "it's a good time to be an Envoy pilot" ?

That makes no sense unless you like............

pretty much nailed it...... good overall morale they do have pilots working here so they will complain about anything and everything. highest paid with bonus factored in. Upgrade time dropping every day! NYC seems to be junior on the 900 side of things and MSP for the 200 overall I don't see many other airlines much better! we have the highest priority over any other delta carrier so that's a plus!

Apokleros 06-16-2015 10:34 AM

Do they make you sign a training contract? How quick is upgrade nowadays? Are new-hires getting a line relatively quickly?

No training contract, paying a $20,000/year bonus (pro rated for newhires) Upgrade is, and will be, a debacle thanks to the "Bloch award" for about one more year, then it's strictly seniority list (that is also a Bloch debacle, but we are stuck with it) as for a new hire upgrading, we've got about 200 waiting on class dates at Delta, and they seem to be grabbing a lot more of our FO's than they wanted of our captains for some reason. That's great for FO's with a job, but means the captain side is going to become ever more stagnant because there are many that simply are riding this place til retirement, several more that Delta shot down and are now joining that group, and several more than now have to wait around for United or American (and American isn't taking much outside the military and its own regionals) The good news is many of the current FO's being told no by Delta will soon upgrade, the unknown is for the new hires... will they get interviews, will Delta wake up and start acting like American with its regionals. or will the top get choked with "undesirables" and captain seats become clogged. Who knows

Be careful.... any 50's coming out of the desert will be replacements at best.

100 was the count I have heard for a while, and that intention is confirmed by the DL TA.

At current attrition and hiring more than likely that is correct. But it is hard to put money on anything lately.

ASA/skywest's crj 200 contracts expire this year. My guess is planes come out of the desert for 9E to replace that flying. I can't imagine Delta entering into another long term crj 200 contract with those companies.

General feeling of pilots, are they treated well? I wouldn't say that we are treated WELL, but I don't feel like there is any malicious treatment going on like there used to be. Scheduling does often try to pull some BS, but it is easy to shoot that down if you know the contract. There are still a lot of guys here who are extremely disgruntled for any number of reasons, the biggest two being seniority list integration and the bankruptcy TA from 2013.
What is the average line like for a line holder? Kinda vague question, but I'd say that average is 13 to 15 days off, 85 credit hours. It is all about how creative you can get with our trip trade system and if you pick up open time.
Days on per month?
Average line - 2 day, 1 day, 3 day, 4 day??? Typically full of 4 days, but it depends on how you set up your prefences in the bidding software

Days off per month? You will have 11 days off per month for the foreseeable future. That is what reserves get. More if you get creative with trip trade.
Legs per day? Depends on the plane you fly... 200 I'd say the average is 3 or 4, 900 between 2 and 4. Ocassionaly on the 200 I've had 5 leg days, but never more in 4 years.
Average Duty hour per day? On reserve, 14 if you don't get used. Lineholders, however you set up your bid prefs. I'd say a global average of people who are flying is probably between 8 to 12 hours of duty per day.
What is the junior base? All of them except MSP900. NYC bases are the 2 most junior bases because commuting there sucks.
Any information on a flow through for new hires? Well nobody at Endeavor has flow except for a small group of 30 or so from the EtD thing they tried last year.
Any new bases on the horizon? No, but IF they announced new bases I'd guess them to be CVG and/or RDU
Growth plans?Who knows
Are pilots getting paid the additional money promised by management?Yes, I paid off my car with the first check. Every 4 months for the next 4 years I have $4k after taxes hit my checking account. It's awesome.
When is a new contract coming?Probably after our TA expires, and I don't even know when that is. Seriously though, in this day and age, we are negotiating many things we lost back into our existing contract. We have a lot of QOL improvements added back in because the company needs some little thing from us or whatever. Delta is a strange parent though, so there is no telling with them. Nothing they do surprises me because everything they do surprises me! This whole bonus thing was their idea according to my friend who is a union rep.
etc.

All in all I am glad that I stuck around. I guess the only better option would have been to bail for Compass back in 2012 when my friend Lucas did. Oh well, hindsight...
THings are getting better here all the time.

I agree fully... that, and SKW wants and needs those DCI200 pilots for other more profitable flying.

We can do it better and cheaper than SKW, and more under Deltas control, so we would be the logical replacement for that flying.

Didn't SkyWest just sign a new contract with Delta Last year for a few more crj 200s? And only took delivery of all those planes this month. Remember the planes that Endeavor couldn't staff, so they gave them away.

I wish it was a mere 50.

Is that then the 700's that are expiring this year?

More of this crap again?

For those who think that Delta is going to make Endeavor Comair2.0, you are smoking crack. The situations are completely different.

thor55 06-23-2015 06:49 PM

It sounds like Endeavor is a good call.

Looking for feedback from current endeavor or fractional guys. If you had a choice would you start/stay at Endeavor or go to a fractional airline? Pay at the fractional is not that much more because of the extra $20K from Endeavor, maybe 10K more a year at the fractional.

It all depends on what you really want to do with your career. If it is airlines long term I would stick with airline experience. If it is corporate long term, I would stick with corporate style experience.
