Regional Airline Pay and Premiums

My name is Ray.... I am an AMT for Endeavor Air in Detroit, Mi... In aviation for over 30 years(prior military.. yada yada)... In addition to working as an AMT I am also my stations representative on what we call the Tech Ops Committee .. basically I am a non union union rep... Anyway... I could use a bit of assistance from anyone willing.... What I am in need of is anyone who works at a regional level airline... your current pay scale and premiums... specifically looking for the following... Air Wisconsin, Envoy, Horizon, Mesa, PSA, Compass, ExpressJet, GoJet, SkyWest, and Republic.... I will gladly share the scale and premiums here at Endeavor in return... I am trying to compile a current list of all scales to see what exactly is out there for industry... you can post or message me on here.. or email me at.. [email protected] Thanks

I know that a few years ago, all those regionals topped out where majors start. The only problem with maintenance, experience has no value to high paying companies. I never understood why anyone with an A&P would work at a regional for Walmart wages.

As a pilot with an A&P I had an opportunity to talk with recruiters from many different industries in which had absolutely nothing to do with aviation. Industries such as the railroads, pipeline companies, energy companies, bottling companies, and wind turbine companies to name a few. All of these industries as well as others paid far more than aviation and had better benefits. More than half of my classmates have nothing to do with aviation at all! You got to keep your eyes on the prize!

I do my best to inform new mechanics that there is no career ladder as an A&P. The FAA has allowed fruit pickers and prison labor to do most of the work domestically. The rest was sent out of the country. Experience has little value so if you cannot start with a major, it's just another dead end job.

So, how much does Endeavor pay mechanics these days? Can you actually make a living there? Any chance to flow into Delta? I know that 20yrs ago the answer was little, no, and no. If the industry is as good as aviation press suggest, there should be lots of movement and subsequent gains.

Although your post doesn't say that you're looking for mechanic pay, it appears that you might be. You're posting on a pilot forum, and the pilot pay scales are all given on this site.
