Is it true that those that were awarded upgrade will not start class for another 6 months?

The upgrade times are a little deceiving when you fail to mention that part.

Just another worthless comment from a super bitter can't see the forest for the trees Envoy pilot obviously.

It depends. The most junior award on the E145 fleet from the late January bid starts class in April. If they were on the front of the award it could be as short as three weeks. If a pilot held out for the E175 the lead time has been running 6 months due to training availability. That's not really a new development though and anyone who exclusively bid that plane should have known that's the case. The CRJ hasn't had a posted vacancy since last October or November and I doubt there will be more in the near future.

Not that this isn't great news for you guys, but diva only posts this kind of stuff in brand new threads, and fails to ever mention the real issues you guys face. A new thread each time something good happens makes it seem like envoy has the most cheerleaders of any airline. Again, not saying this is true, but when diva continues to start new threads for the slightest bit of good info, it makes envoy look worse than good in my opinion. As a new hire I'd just be concerned as to why are you hardcore celebrating all this small stuff when other airlines have had it. How bad must it be over there? But congrats to the upcoming captains and to those at envoy who have been waiting for the light.

This is true. Possibly entering training next year. I can see this happening since we are very short on IOE check airman and instructors.

Why do you care if someone starts a thread about it? Are you paying for the bandwidth?
Come on dude...seriously?

It's a forum for pilots to talk. Last time I checked you don't need to work for the company to enter the thread. Get over it and get some thick skin, would ya?

Never met someone on the Internet crying about other pilots talking in a thread about their company.

I always warn people to not go for a quick upgrade. May Eagle quick upgrade was 2 years then snap.. back to FO. Yes that was pre 9/11 things were different.. but be ready to want to stay there longer then you think.. Pick your regional for all around comfort.. base, pay, qol, upgrade ect.. not just sjs upgrade...

Yeah but you've blatantly lied on here. Calling you a salesman is the polite name.

What are you talking about? You obviously missed my point.

I don't even work for Envoy. I'm just lurking in here and saw the negative direction this thread was headed in - mostly from those who don't fly for them. Who said anything about pilots from other companies entering the thread not being wanted/allowed/permitted, etc? What I said was why would people come into a thread to just so they can bash and mock people who might finally be happy to see some positive news with regard to upgrade times after so many years of stagnation - basically **** on their little parade for no reason. It's classless and childish. One person even mentioned bandwidth being wasted with this thread. So what? Who gives a damn?

Let them enjoy relatively good news for a change. It's been a tough road for them for many years.
