Previous 121 Interview

Hello all,

I am currently at another regional and was told that the interview would be a "HR portion only". As luck would have it I have an interview coming up this week and would like to get some feedback about what the questions might be. This is not to say I am not experienced at interviewing but its always nice to know what's coming your way. Thanks!

I also came from another 121 carrier and fortunately only had to do the HR portion. The one on one interview only lasts maybe 5 minutes. The questions were the typical, "Why Envoy? Why are you leaving your current company? Tell me what you define as a good Captain. Tell me about yourself" They really are looking to be sure you're a normal dude and they could work a 4 day with you. Take the interview seriously as this could be your last interview ever because of the flow, but don't worry about needing to spend tons of time any money to prepare. Pretty straightforward folks here at Envoy!

I came from another 121 carrier as well, haven't regretted the decision yet.

Serioulsy, ^this^ is all the advice anyone needs. Treat the interview like you care about the outcome and act like someone that someone else would like to spend 4 days with and you're going to get hired.

Are you a total D bag? No..... can I drink a cold one or a coffee with you? Yes ss

Do you look like someone who puts in some effort? Yes...

Ok when can you start?

Will you load the flight plan in the FMS without the Captain having to do it?

Will you call for clearance while the Captain stares blankly at the AML for the 6th time?

Will you ask the Flight Attendant for a trash bag while the Captain texts his mistress?

When you catch the Captain peeing in the hotel's potted plants at 3am will you cover for him?

If yes to all of the above...WELCOME ABOARD! We are a fun bunch...just stay away from the latinas with angry fathers. Ask me how I know.
