747 coming to envoy

Very reliable source. School House chatter is buzzing.

Not very... Most senior guys want day trips. Plus, the cockpit is too big! Who needs all that room??? There's not even a nice step up like in the Embraers ;D

Embraerpilot 07-02-2017 02:21 PM

So they won't be doing KLBB or KABI turns with it ? That blows

Heck, I may bypass the flow if I can fly a 747 at Envoy!!

American Eagle
Operated by Atlas Airlines

Ha, wouldn't that be nice!!!

747 cockpit is not very big.

Cookie Puss 07-05-2017 07:14 AM

I would have thought so. 4 seats, a lav and crew rest bunks. Seems big to me.

In comparison to an E145?

I thought this thread was a metaphor for NAI.

The 747 will go junior. It does not have the shiny metal syndrome.

Length wise it is. The fuselage cross section is like an egg though. Pretty narrow on top. I remember thinking the 757 had more elbow room.

Your guys are funny.

VanDriver208 07-06-2017 12:18 PM

I heard that the CFI's in the pipeline programs will be able to go in as a direct entry CA on it.

Its not hard at all. Same training as an FO.

worstpilotever 07-06-2017 01:06 PM

I don't think bunks and a lav really count as the cockpit. In fact there is separate name for them....bunks and a lav. The 747 cockpit is very narrow....depending on the version the cockpit can be longer, but what does that do for you when are sitting in the seat I have no idea.

Cookie Puss 07-06-2017 02:05 PM

It's not like any of us have or will fly it, so, it's all moot.

The 145 has a lot more shoulder room that the 747.

I respectfully disagree.

I fly it. It's a little tighter than a 75. Maybe about the same. Think the 145 is closer to a Learjet the a 747. Lear 25 or crj was the most fun I ever had in a plane though.

AnakinSkywalker 07-19-2017 07:33 PM

Can't wait to bid for that plane, thanks for the info!
