CRJ hard landing

Heard someone mention one of our CRJ's had a hard landing that sent some people to the hospital. Sure enough, aircraft 521 is in MQT, out of service for a hard landing. Anyone know the full story?

Is this the same one that happened about two weeks ago, or was there another one?

...just heard the ac is scrapped, not returning back to service.

I'm curious if it was a pipeline instructor guy. I wonder if that'll be the only time it happens?

I blame the IOE instructor for this one if its true. I get that we are so desperate hiring instructors, ioe check airman left and right, but he should've been 5miles ahead of the aircraft, 10 miles with a new hire.

This was basic knowledge between us instructors at Riddle.

Sounds like you were doing quite a disservice to your students if you were concentrating on their touchdown while they were trying to configure the AC during the approach.

The Checkairman is one of the best the crj fleet has to offer. He's a passoniate guy and a very good instructor. It's unfortunate this happened and would be a shame if we lose him as a checkairman. I know there are a group of guys that may just be doing it for the money or a box to mark on an app, but I can guarantee you he isn't one of them.

Assigning blame without knowing anything substantial about the accident? Classy, Mr. Troll. I bet you and a certain former Comm chairman would get along splendidly.
