Has anyone seen a reduction in their Federal withholding tax on their paystubs with the new tax plan?

No. Should be on next check.

From what Ive seen, I've seen an increase in the federal withholding tax so far this year.

We haven’t had a check since the new tax plan went into effect, you won’t see a YUGE difference until your first or second check this month. It went into effect February 1.

Like Rep. Paul Ryan (House Majority Leader) said last week in a tweet that has back fired and he deleted... A Secretary he knows gets tax savings of $1.75 per week thanks to new tax law, It’s a huge benefit for the avg American worker.

So awesome! I can eat out 1 extra day a month! Thanks Uncle Sam!

You just got $1,000 bonus. If you don't like it then give it back or pay more taxes voluntarily but I know none of you democrats will do that. Instead you'll complain that you get to keep more money. Unbelievable.

I would gladly pay more taxes. The tax "cuts" will destroy the budget. You can't cut taxes and raise spending and expect everything to be okay. I don't understand why those in charge right now don't understand that.

Not taking the bait. Not trying to derail the thread either. I understand this is aviation and not a political forum. Just relating potential earnings results from recent tax overhaul to what Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin (whom i respect) said also related to realized tax savings from a secretary he knows. Not sure if the OP will see that same result or better. I posted facts.

I’m not filled with dislike of anybody for their political views. I welcome diversity, open discussions, and respectful discourse of anyone and any race, and gender. Its funny how quick some people are to point fingers and say “you people”, or “those people,” etc., and cause divisions. As they saying goes, It is what it is in life. One thing I’ve learned is that assumptions about others really do make an ass out of us many times over.

I liked it. Publicity stunt all you want if it means money in my pocket.

I’d rather control where that money goes than let the government choose for me. Just my opinion, and I certainly respect those who disagree...my wife included.

I will derail this forum and I wouldn’t even call it de-railing because the fact that we got a 1000bonus and the fact that I’m taking more money home with me starting this month has everything to do with the new tax cut and Trump.

I can’t believe how anyone can actually be against tax cuts that bring millions upon millions of jobs back to the United States and put more money back into your own pocket. More Americans spending more money on American business’

While I agree with most of what you are saying, DP, RI and cohorts are going to be seeing a MUCH larger percentage in their accounts than us worker bees because of any tax cuts. The best way the economy will benefit is if they push some of that down by way of HIGHER WAGES.

Now I would agree with you there on that as well. If only our politicians and general public could have a civil response like this.
