Thanks for the intel everyone.
Yes EchoEcho I agree, but then again Envoy is hiring future Captains. At least that is what they told me at the interview :D

4:30 show is fine for most if they don’t go out to dinner with the afternoon guys. >7 hrs of sleep is also key

I liked HOU but thats bc I have family there and so I went home after training most days but don't kid yourself, Hobby Airport (where the SIM is) is not the safest of places. I wouldn't walk outside the hotel parking lot after dark, I personally know of someone who was robbed outside of Flight Safety a couple years ago while he was waiting for the hotel van. Granted this was back in the day of paper charts so thats all those guys got away with but regardless I'd keep your head on a swivel. The SIM is the worst one we use but the instructors were fine. There's a BBQ place right next to the hotel called Central Texas BBQ which was fantastic and you get pretty great cookies from the front desk everyday. Definitely more food options at DFW but it was also nice to get a change of scenery after being in DFW for X amount of weeks for ground school.

I’m not sure of the Houston hotel. And 0430 brief sucks but I think it’s better than finishing at 0200. You drink coffee during the brief by the time you get in the box your awake and alert. For me on the late shift I’m falling asleep in the box after midnight.

We had 10-2am for all of training with a loft on Sunday morning... 4:30 am brief. Our bodies adapted to going to sleep at 3:30 am but not enough time to be prepared for a 4:00 am wake up and brief for LOFT. Neither the CA or me slept the night before at all before our LOFT ride. Watch out for conflicts like this. Total bull**** by the scheduler! Check airmen asked if we wanted to continue and we agreed just to get it over with.
