I would assume it would be by hire date.
Relative seniority is the way to go. |

Hopefully not! DOH doesn't have much to do with equivalent seniority when you're comparing two different lists.

What is 'relative seniority' if it's not by doh?
You shouldn't go from 20% from the top (getting a good pick of schedule) down to 80% from the top (where all the schedules suck) just because someone decided to merge you with an old pilot group. .. in my opinion. |
Don't know where ya'll got this old worn out rumor all fired up again, but it's been passed around by everybody's neighbor's aunt, who's brother-in-law's daughter's college roomate is an FA at Spirit, since the original AA / US Air merger. But yeah, it would have to happen... Eventually...
As for if / when it happens; relative seniority integration is a B!tch! ALPA merger by-laws state that if 2 ALPA carriers merge, the integrated seniority list shall be by DOH, IIRC. However, when Pinnacle, Mesaba, and Colgan merged to form Endeavor; relative seniority ended up playing a big part. It really sucked for an 8 year guy to be slinging gear for a 2 yr CA. A lot of heartburn there... |
Doesn’t sound very likely to merge either of the small WOs with Envoy. If anything, probably the two small ones together. AAG has to be able to whipsaw.

I will quit

I heard they were gonna make the seniority list out of actual staples.
