New hire base assignment
Hey guys. How realistic is it to get DFW base on the 175 after the school house for a new hire? Looking to get on with a regional in the next month. Any recommendations on other regionals to be looking at? I知 also leaning towards Compass since I知 currently in Southern California. Thanks!

Were you born in ~1975 or earlier, or are you enrolled in the cadet program? If so, decent shot of having all your dreams realized. If not, LGA on hire, then a slow trek through half the EMJ FO seniority list to Dallas.

If you are looking to do it in the next month, impossible. Class dates at Envoy are being pushed for even cadets and RTPs. Unless you are a DEC, it could be next year as a street hire for a class date. And DECs are going 145 to LGA.
If you live in SoCal and plan to stay there, this is not the regional you are looking for.

Is it your desire to move or stay in your current location? If you want to stay living in California, have a clean record and a degree, there are better options for you as commuting sucks, even with our travel benefits.
Don稚 get me wrong, there is a lot of movement here once you are here, but FO training dates are taking a side seat to upgrade training at the moment.
I知 happy working here and if this is what you want just make sure you understand that it may be six months before they get you into a class once you have gotten through the intro process. Dallas is by in large our most senior base so regardless of fleet, it takes some time to get a line there.
