While I don’t have an exact in front of me, I’m sure Dera will be here soon enough, I feel like that base is shrinking and taking longer. If I recall correctly you would be looking at over a year at least.

You mean MIA FO reserve, or MIA FO off reserve, as in, hold a line there?

MIA is junior for now, you should get it on the first bid, so actual time depends when you get hired. Bunch of TDYs there right now so this should last for at least a while.

TDY captains.

The April bid went unusually junior, which is why people think it’s junior. The bid before it and the most recent bid went senior again. It shrinks to 40 lines this winter and who knows next year. Only people getting it into next year are CRJ backfills (senior).

My sincerest condolences to the family.. Aviation always has a way of humbling us as aviators.

As far as MIA, I had people saying that Envoy would be taking over YX flying out of there and that ENY is the best long term option for someone wanting MIA. I’m confused now..

MIA is a 145 base for Envoy. There are no rumors about taking over YX flying in MIA.

There are NO CREDIBLE rumors about ENY increasing flying in MIA. All indications are as dera said.

The opposite is true. There have been some 175 flights to KEYW, but word is AAG gave ENY the option of doing Canada or the Caribbean and they chose to go north. AAG doesn’t want to put the over water kits in the plane despite some rumors they had been seen in some aircraft. Too much weight and extra cost with training and up keep.

Many former Envoy pairings are being flown by Republic crews out of MIA now. 18 mos ago, the opposite was true. Who knows. Management has projected MIA to shrink drastically for the winter.

Envoy is just here to fill holes that others are having difficulty, when the other companies get there staffing corrected envoy is pulled out.
Mia, n.y as envoy bases according to those based there are shrinking. Dfw and ord makes room for mesa and skw, lax will never happen.

Oh and enjoy the raise. You're going to need it.
