However, our real need is in the work rules. Soft pay, duty rigs, min day pay, reserve rules, pay protection, etc. Those are the things that will actually put more money in our pockets and improve QOL. But the new guys showing up to class don't know what those things mean.

Just changing the hourly rate doesn't cost the company that much. Paying guys 4 hours for every lost day and similar work rules at other regionals would be a huge win for this pilot group. I will be disappointed if we only get a simple pay raise.
You’re not getting trip rigs, min day credit, or duty rigs without PBS and I don’t see that happening any time soon.

What if we don’t do anything? Just ride this out as the lowest paid until recruiting obviously will take a huge hit. Can the company force some mediocre pay rates on us?

My understanding is that they’re already trying to force some mediocre pay rate on us but the union won’t accept it until something better is offered. Since negotiations appear to be at a standstill (I’m actually not 100% sure what’s going on with negotiations since the union won’t communicate anything) I would assume we’re riding this out now and not doing anything as we speak.

Whatever happened to this?

“in the coming days a more detailed explanation as to why the proposals presented to the Negotiating Committee have been unacceptable.”

It’s been 5 days, I’m tired of the silence man, they’ve done a **** poor job at communicating anything and wIll just turn the pilot group against them.

Agreed. Something needs to be said. NDA or not, atleast tell us that the company isnt playing ball or they are low balling/want concessions. Have communications completely ended? Doesnt have to be specific, just give us something.

We can’t be trusted with any information, we’ll post about it on APC and totally blow the intense negotiation where real progress is definitely being made by horse trading with ourselves

So, when is the flow slowing down to PSA/Piedmont levels? This November?

December. Should last 10 months. Then it increases again to around 20-21 a month.
