If you want to upgrade on the 145, it’s as soon as you have 950 hours of qualifying time. If you have the qualifications, you can get it as a direct entry captain right now.
The last bid didn’t have any ORD 175 Captain vacancies. The junior captain there was hired about two and a half years ago. But the next bid will likely see those with much less seniority getting 175 captain if they have the time, but since there were no vacancies on the last bid for ORD it will likely be more senior.

There has been no official time line given for the 145s going away and PHX becoming an Envoy base. Between Mesa leaving, PSA coming into DFW, the 145s leaving and Air Wisconsin coming in, there are a lot of moving parts to this. Probably the biggest one is how long Mesa can and will staff flying.
Still a lot of 145 pilots with training dates stretching into summer.
