Non rev on Southwest
Anyone non rev on Southwest that can explain process? The way I understand is we have to list on the myID90Travel, but that asks for for credit card and acknowledgment of charges. Does it not charge until the flight? Do they change your status at the gate and not charge your card?

They charge you right away. Gate agents can’t bump you to the next flight or cancel/refund your tickets. The booking request goes through AA.
If you have multiple flight options, you have to buy a ticket for every one of them.
After your flight you go back to ID90 and request a refund for the flights you didn’t make.

There is a section in the ID90 website that explains the process pretty well.

If you are trying to Jumpseat on them, you can change the “type of travel” selection to commuting crew member. It won’t charge you for the ticket. If you are traveling with non-CASS people, then you buy a ZED fare like any other OAL.
