Cadet Program
 
Had trouble reaching someone in recruitment and so figured I’d ask a few questions on here for those who are familiar w/ the cadet program.

Is it best to apply at the CFI level at the last stage of the cadet program or apply after Private or instrument and progressively interview your way through the entire program?

Secondly, what is the application process? Interview process, etc. Do you apply the same way as any other FO through AirlineApps?

Apply when you’re a CFII, that way you have the instrument and Jepp chart stuff down

Yeah do it when CFI but with a lot of time left to build. The interview process is the same as a street hire. Airline apps, in person interview, point to Jepp symbols, what’s your greatest weakness, pee in a cup.

Who gets to pick equipment and base first amongst the cadets? Most senior?

These days it’s cadets, prior 121, most senior of who’s left.

They wanted the answer to who gets preference amongst the cadets. My guess would be by who signed up first.

Just confirming your guess. The most "senior" cadet picks first.

Yes, you apply for the cadet program through the FO application on Airlineapps.
