Agree with above, go to a place you can live at. Your life will thank you.

With the latest vacancy bid showing 90 175 ORD FO's, I can imagine that that is all they'll be offering in classes for while. I'd imagine you sit reserve for maaaybe 4 months.

With the amount of planes going there and expected line growth in the coming months, ORD will be the place to be.

Commuting to Envoy when you have a WO base where you live is pure insanity.

This may be the one and only time I completely agree with dera. I feel dirty just saying that.

I see one red flag you raised due to being prior military. If you have 500 hours of qualifying mil-PIC time, Envoy has a surprise waiting for you. In about a year, when you get 450 hours of 121 time, you are going to be displaced to CA in the 145, probably in LGA. Guys coming here with prior 121 time are slowing to a trickle, so you can look forward to about a year on reserve after you upgrade.

This is accurate, by a long shot.

Agree completely, however PSA did not offer me an interview - I'm assuming because of my age or background/demographic. Envoy called me as soon as I put in my app. I'm being displaced from corporate America job (non flying). Starting over at 55 is hard to swallow but I feel lucky I'm healthy and could work 10 more years flying.

Hmm I'd give their recruiting department a call. They're hurting for people as much as we are (well as much as every regional is). You might have missed something on your application/put something incorrectly that automatically put you in the denial stack.

Someone with 500 hours of qualifying mil-PIC time will be at a major long before they hit 450 hours at Envoy.
If you have 500 hours of tanker/heavy mil PIC time and you need more than a year at a regional, you're doing it wrong.

Thank you - actually other than the trusty T-34C turbo prop (PT-6), my Navy time was all flying combat support helicopters off of ships. I accomplished MEL, CFI. CFII, and MEI on my own outside of the Navy.
